The new SPHERE Thunder bolt can be described as a small piece of high-tech because the 3K carbon used for the production not only ensures the bolt looks great but is also a particularly robust, highly developed material.
The unique properties make the carbon the ideal material for the production of arrows and bolts because the carbon fibres are characterized by extreme strength and rigidity – just THE properties that you would expect from an arrow or bolt. The alignment of the individual fibres is therefore particularly important in order to be able to withstand the forces acting on an arrow/bolt and to save weight. For shafts, the optimal direction is, of course, the longitudinal direction, in order to withstand the tensile and compressive (compression) forces that occur. The 3k carbon used in the SPHERE Thunder has three times as many fibres as normal and is, therefore, more robust and with the visible structure also visually more striking.
The SPHERE Thunder comes with guaranteed straightness of 0.005 inches, a shaft weight of 9.5 grams per inch and feathering with 2-inch BOHNING Blazer Vanes. Includes Moon Nock and 100 grains screw-in point.
